Reduce iPhone system size

It's a 256GB iPhone X, so it's not lacking in storage, but I happened to think there was a way to reduce the system capacity, so I tried it, and the capacity was really reduced by about 32%.

27.43 GB -> 20.66 GB

Reduce iPhone system capacity

Reducing system capacity is simple.

First of all, check the current system capacity by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the iPhone's Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

  1. Connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC with a USB cable.
  2. Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
    If you ask if you trust the connected device, you say you trust it. iPhone unlocks.
  3. just wait Without synchronization or something like that, about 1 to 10 minutes?
  4. Check the system space in your iPhone's settings.

I did it in iOS 12, but I don't know if it works in earlier versions.

I don't know what the iPhone and iTunes did. I think I may have cleared something like cache.
